Micky Hazard reveals what the Spurs players did at training to make him proud

Tottenham held their last training session at Hotspur Way yesterday before they jet off to Madrid today to step up their preparations for the Champions League final.

A number of players from yesteryear were invited to Tottenham’s training base to wish the squad good luck and to also present midfielder Moussa Sissoko with the inaugural legends player of the year award.

Graham Roberts, Cliff Jones, Micky Hazard, Pat Jennings, Paul Allen, Ossie Ardiles and Justin Edinburgh were among the former players who met with Mauricio Pochettino’s team with Hazard taking to Twitter afterward to reveal that each member of the current senior side shook hands with the legends in a true showing of class.

It is fantastic to see such respect between players from past and present at the club, of which no doubt Mauricio Pochettino’s influence is fundamental to how his side are conducting themselves.

The current crop of players will be regarded as legends whether they beat Liverpool or not in the final having already made history by getting to the final two in the competition.
