Micky Hazard singles out Spurs player for praise after beating West Brom

Micky Hazard has taken a dig at former Tottenham striker, Darren Bent for suggesting that Harry Kane cannot be considered one of the greatest of the Premier League era.

Bent told talkSPORT last week that he does not consider Kane to be in the top five strikers in Premier League history and suggested that a prime Wayne Rooney was a better all-round striker than the Spurs man.

Kane gave Bent a befitting reply as he once again produced a terrific performance at West Bromwich Albion yesterday afternoon.

The England captain was involved in some lovely pieces of build-up play but Jose Mourinho’s men could not convert the chances.

Just when it looked like it was not going to be Tottenham’s day, Kane drifted between the Baggies backline and the goalkeeper to get on the end of Matt Doherty’s cross and nod it into the back of the net to give his side all three points.

Hazard raved about the 27-year-old’s finish on social media:

The former Spurs midfielder then took a swipe at Bent for suggesting Kane was not particularly special.
