The Sun are reporting that Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas could be set for a return to Newcastle United.

The England international has found himself mostly confined to a bench role at White Hart Lane and is being tipped to leave the Champions League qualifiers this summer.

Jenas left Newcastle in the summer of 2005 for £7million after apparently claiming that he was living “in a goldfish bowl”.

According to the report, Newcastle are planning to offer £5million to add some Premier League experience to the midfield ahead of the new campaign.

  1. surley we can get more for him. in the past years he hasnt been to bad but your right he does have a bad attidude plus he have the young brazilian sandro who will hopefully take his place

    • I disagree with that. He's not good enough for Spurs in the current climate but you cant question his attitute. He's lost his place in the squad and doesn't even come on as sub but has dealt with it proffessionaly.

  2. LOL He can go back. What a joke player he aint played well for us since we beat Arsenal 5-1. I think the other time was when we beat Wigan in Martin Jol's last year. Other them 2 preformances hes been AWFUL. Hes supposed to be what Steve Gerrard is to Liverpool for us yet hes not even worth being a Championship side. Hes a Sunday League player at best. £5 million is a great tag. Knowing Daniel Levy he will trick these morons into getting atleast £8 million so we can add to the transfer funds to buy a forward like Edin Dzeko.

  3. We know he has got talent or we wud not hv bought him in the first place. Harry has got a way of bringing out the best in players and if he can do that with Jenas, he might be useful to us as we have a big season coming up. We need plenty of quality players with premiership experience. Jenas, is a bit like Bentley. I think he deserves a 2nd chance. If Harry can change Bentley, hope that he can do the same with Jenas.

  4. I actually like jenas as a player the only thing is that he's a bit inconsistent I dont think spurs should let him go yet, just give him another chance to redeem himself. One thing I noticed about spurs fans is that they love to bash their own players but when they start performing they seem to forget what they said about them before with comments like "I always knew he was an excellent player". Take Bale and Pav for example, a lot of spurs fans were calling them "shit" and "useless" last year.
