Thomas Frank dropped hints about a recent opponent in his post-match press conference, but the midfielder has shut down talk of joining Tottenham.
Tottenham’s performance at the Aspmyra Stadion on Tuesday was very different to the memorable outing they had at the venue in the Europa League towards the end of last season.
Spurs managed to win 2-0 in Norway, beating them 5-1 on aggregate to progress to the Europa League final, but on this occasion, they had to call on their powers of recovery just to salvage a point.
The game has been used as a marker by some Spurs fans on social media to suggest a lack of progress under Thomas Frank, and a Bodo/Glimt player has now weighed in on the differences between the two encounters.

Jens Petter Hauge rules out a move to Tottenham Hotspur
Hauge netted both of Bodo/Glimt’s goals in the 2-2 draw, and the Norwegian winger ran the London side ragged, especially in the first half.
He has now suggested that it is unfair to compare the Tottenham side Bodo/Glimt faced back in May to the one they played this week, since the context of the two matches was very different.
When asked if Thomas Frank’s Tottenham side was easier to play against than Ange Postecoglou’s, he told Nettavisen: “I wouldn’t say that, the setting is different. Last time there was a semi-final in Europe, where they really had to do everything to save themselves. They also came here with a result that made it a different game.”
When asked if he would consider leaving Bodo/Glimt for Tottenham in the future, Hauge added: “I’m not going anywhere.”
Thomas Frank opens the door for Spurs to sign Hauge
After the game, the Tottenham head coach was all praise for the Norway international, revealing that he previously tried to take him to Brentford.
Curiously, Frank also refused to rule out taking Hauge to Tottenham when directly quizzed about the possibility.
The 24-year-old already has 16 goal contributions across all competitions for Bodo/Glimt this season, and based on Frank’s statement, it appears that the Lilywhites may keep a close eye on his progress.
