Milan Skriniar throws potential hint about future amidst Tottenham interest

Milan Skriniar was reported to be Jose Mourinho’s first-choice defensive target during the summer transfer window (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).

It looked at one point as if it was only a matter of time before Spurs and Inter agreed on a deal for the 25-year-old, but the move failed to materialise.

After missing out on the Slovak, Tottenham snapped up Joe Rodon from Swansea City and the young defender has made a promising start to life in North London.

It does not appear as if missing out on the Inter star has cost Mourinho’s side as they currently boast the best defensive record in the Premier League.

However, some reports have backed the Lilywhites to return for Skriniar when the transfer window opens next month.

However, Skriniar has now hinted at a possible stay at San Siro by admitting that he dreams of winning silverware with the Nerazzuri.

Speaking ahead of Inter’s Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk, the defender did not exactly sound like a man who was desperate to leave the club.

He told Sempre Inter: “The dream? To win with Inter and make the many fans who support us every day happy.”
