‘Missing’ – Spurs player trolls Premier League colleague on social media

Ryan Sessegnon has taken to social media to poke fun at Michail Antonio after the Tottenham Hotspur player emerged victorious in a game of FIFA between the Premier League pair.

With news emerging last Thursday that the Premier League will not resume before April 30 (Guardian), it appears that footballers are starting to use their creative side to still get their taste of action.

Spurs and West Ham were supposed to go head to head last Friday at 8 pm in a Premier League fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, only for Sessegnon and Antonio to decide to fight it out on a computer console instead. (the Sun).

Some big stakes were riding on the match as it was decided that the loser of the match would give a ‘full kit apology’, which involves wearing the strip from the opposing team as a punishment.

It was Sessegnon who emerged victorious when he saw off Antonio 2-0 courtesy of goals from Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura.

All in all, it was a pretty comprehensive victory for the Spurs star who had 15 shots to Antonio’s two, with 13 of those being on target.

However, it looks like the West Ham man has so far failed to live up to his end of the bargain by apologising in a Spurs shirt.

So, Sessegnon took it upon himself to troll Antonio:

Looking at how comprehensively outplayed Antonio was, it is clear that his confidence before the game was completely misplaced, just like West Ham fans’ optimism before the start of every single season before their team inevitably comes crashing down once the season begins.
