Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric believes that he will come back stronger from his broken leg.
The Croatian star has been ruled out for at least six weeks after fracturing his right fibula in the 2-1 win against Birmingham City.
“It’s been a fantastic start to the season and because of that, I’m disappointed,” Modric told the club’s official website.
“It’s also happened at a time where I’ve important games for the club and for my national team.
“But it’s part of life in our sport and I have to lift my head up and try to be positive, to come back as soon as possible and to come back stronger.
“There is never a good time to have an injury – it’s always bad, especially for me at this time. But as I said, what can I do? It has happened, it is part of life and that’s it.
“I can’t do anything about it now and I’m thinking positively about trying to get back as soon as I can.”
