Modric: It’s hard to accept

Luka Modric admits that he is finding it difficult that Croatia will not be at this year’s World Cup.

The Tottenham midfielder will line up for his country this evening in a friendly against Austria.  Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka miss out through injury.

“It’s painful for us that we’re not there,” Modric told the club’s official site. “It’s hard to accept and such a shame because we have such a good team and I believe if we’d have got to the tournament we could have done well.

“Our players around Europe are in great form as well.

“We need to turn it around now and prepare for Euro 2012 qualification. We need to look forward.”

  1. dont worry about it luka, you just get practicing your shooting for next season,we want goals to make you the perfect package.

  2. There seems to be silence from is Agents pen ,could he be shooting somewhere else we proved with or without him we can go on rising upwards .I expect a big year from Bostock and Mason Townsend Caulker this year and our flying wingers Lennon and Bale and Thunder Thudds.
