Modric returns to action today

Luka Modric will today line up for Tottenham Hotspur in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the club’s training ground.

The Croatian international has been out of action since he suffered a fracture to his right fibula in the 2-1 win over Birmingham in September in a challenge with Lee Bowyer.

If the 24-year-old comes through the game unscathed, then he could be ready to be named in Harry Redknapp’s squad for the Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday.

Modric has only recently returned to light training with the youth team.
