Luka Modric - Tottenham news

Luka Modric is going to Old Trafford with the belief that Tottenham Hotspur can beat Manchester United on Saturday.

Spurs have not won at United since December 1989 when Gary Lineker notched the only goal of the game.

“We’re ready, why not?” Modric told Tottenham’s official website.

“We showed against Inter in the second half that we can compete with the best teams in the world and United is certainly one of the best teams in the world.

“But why not go there and try to win? I know Tottenham haven’t won at Old Trafford for a long time, so why not now?

“It’s the best stage to play, the best stadium and it will be a great game for us. I hope we can do something there.”

  1. Why not now? Because we always get robbed when we go to old Trafford that’s why and it’s always something that the officials do or don’t see can’t explain it, unless you’re wearing red at that ground you might as well have a piss in the wind and hope you don’t get wet. This year more than most others I would say yes we can compete but for some reason they just have this hoodoo over us bit like Chelski did but once we broke the spell we just started believing. It would help if our strikers were taking their chances it would ease the pressure on the defence because make no mistake this is one game that’s not going to finish goalless so if we take our chances in front of goal like we haven’t been then sure we could beat them. Worryingly though we may have Kaboul in the defence I’m sorry but I’m really not convinced but we shall see what our Arry puts out on Saturday. COyS. Lillywhitetilidie.
