Mohamed Salah sends classy message to Harry Kane after Golden Boot win

Mohamed Salah has congratulated Harry Kane on winning the Premier League Golden boot and Playmaker award this season.

Going into the final game of the season, Kane had some work to do on both fronts, tied on 22 goals with Salah at the top of the standings and being just one clear of Bruno Fernandes in the assists charts with 13 to his name.

The striker scored one and assisted one in Tottenham’s 4-2 win over Leicester to seal both awards in the final match of the season.

The England captain won the Golden Boot award for the third time in his career and became just the second player in Premier League history to finish with the most assists and goals in a season after Andy Cole in 1993-94.

The fact that he managed to achieve it while playing for a Spurs side that finished in seventh place in the Premier League table makes it a particularly impressive achievement.

Here’s how Salah responded to Kane’s post on social media after picking up the awards.
