Mohammed Kudus sets confident trophy aim at Tottenham that fans will adore

Mohammed Kudus has been speaking about the way he has settled into life at Tottenham and about his ambitions at the North London club.

Kudus’ £55m move from West Ham to Spurs was a controversial transfer, given the rivalry between the two London clubs.

In fact, the Ghanaian winger became the first player in 14 years to leave West Ham for Tottenham, with Scott Parker being the last one to make the move in 2011.

That perhaps says a lot about the 25-year-old’s character and single-mindedness, and he has made a big proclamation about his aims at the North London side.

Mohammed Kudus admits things are going smoothly at Tottenham

The former Hammers star made it clear that he made the move across London to win silverware.

When asked what he feels he must do to belong at this level, Kudus said (via The Daily Mail): “Win a trophy with the club.”

The pacy winger, who has six assists and two goals to his name in 20 appearances this season, admitted that he has settled in well at N17, but insisted that he believes he can give a lot more to Spurs.

Kudus added: “I’m still getting used to everything. Even though the demands are high, and obviously there’s no time, you’ve got to perform immediately, joining a club because that’s what the league is about.

“With the help of the staff, the coach and the teammates, I’ve been settling smoothly so far, but there’s still a lot more to do and to show as a team, individually as well.”

Kudus looking forward to England battle at the World Cup

Kudus could go head-to-head against Djed Spence at the World Cup, with Ghana and England both being placed in Group L.

The Tottenham man is not fazed by the challenge of taking on the Three Lions, explaining that he and his international teammates are looking forward to the showdown.

He said: “It’s good to have England in the group. We are pretty much aware of the side we are facing and the quality they have, but we will definitely be up for it and be ready.”
