‘Money talks’ – Pundit hints he is worried Spurs player could join London rivals

Jamie O’Hara has admitted that he is worried about the prospect of Harry Kane linking up with Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

Over the last few months, various publications have named Manchester United as the most realistic destination for Harry Kane this summer if the striker does leave Spurs, with the Red Devils thought to be prioritising a move for the England captain (Daily Star).

However, with Mauricio Pochettino now set to be confirmed as the next Chelsea head coach, there have been some suggestions over the last couple of weeks that the 51-year-old could try to lure Kane to the Blues.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth even told GiveMeSport on 6 May that there is no doubt that the Argentine would want to reunite with the Spurs star at Stamford Bridge, but the journalist added that the North London club do not plan on selling their talisman.

O’Hara has now suggested that even though Daniel Levy does not do business with Chelsea, the Spurs chairman could be swayed if the West London club make a big offer.

When asked if Kane could link up with Pochettino, the former Spurs midfielder told Sky Sports News- 21/05/23: “Chelsea worries me. As a Spurs fan, to see Harry Kane going to play for Chelsea would hurt. But I can see them going after him.

“They need a striker and Pochettino is going to go in there. I think he wants to stay in London.

“I am not saying anything, but he does have a place around Wentworth.

“He (Levy) doesn’t sell to Chelsea. You don’t see many players go from Tottenham to Chelsea.

“But money talks. Todd Boehly has the money to throw around.”

There is simply no way that Kane would even consider moving to Chelsea, knowing full well that it would completely tarnish his legacy at Spurs.

Levy will also not entertain any offers from other London clubs for Tottenham’s talisman.
