More misery for Dortmund as key man was injured against Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur practically ended Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League run this season with a 3-0 victory over the German League leaders at Wembley last week.

This was the first of two legs in the last of 16 tie, but it will take a momentous turn around for Dortmund to get their name in the hat for the quarter finals.

Spurs were without the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and any recognisable left back for the tie, with Dortmund missing Reus and Alcacer.

It seems as if the German side have been served another helping of misfortune this week, as reports claim that Christian Pulisic was injured in the game against the Lilywhites (101greatgoals).

Pulisic, the Chelsea man on loan to Dortmund, is now a doubt for the return leg in Germany set for March 5.

An away goal for Spurs will likely seal the tie, with Dortmund needing three goals to draw level even if Spurs don’t find the back of the net.
