‘Most unpredictable’ – Michael Owen delivers score prediction for Spurs v Wolves

Former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has offered his score prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Antonio Conte’s side come into the fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having thrown away a 2-1 advantage against Southampton on Wednesday evening to lose the match 3-2 inside the final ten minutes of the encounter.

The Italian is once again unable to call upon the services of Eric Dier (thigh), Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee – Spurs official).

With games in hand over some of the teams who are rivalling the north Londoners for a top four finish and Champions League qualification, Tottenham will know all too well that they cannot afford to drop any more points.

Tottenham have lost four of their last seven matches in all competitions having been defeated just once in their first 11 games under Antonio Conte, albeit three of those matches were against Chelsea.

Lawrenson told BetVictor: “Spurs must be the most unpredictable side in the league. I really fancied them to go on a good run and threaten for the top four, but they were poor against Southampton. Conte doesn’t look happy, and the pressure is on him and his squad here.

“Bruno Lage will have been disappointed to go out of the FA Cup last week, but Wolves can really focus on their top-four push now. They’ve got the second-best defence in the league, and I think they’ll have a strong finish to this season.

“This is a big game for both. I’m going for a 1-1 draw.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is a huge game for Spurs. All three points would keep them in a fantastic position in the top four race, especially with Man United dropping two more yesterday. However, a draw or defeat could be a huge nail in the coffin with Man City away to come.
