Jose Mourinho has insisted he along with his staff and players will do their all to improve over the summer break going into the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
Speaking in the final home matchday programme of the season, Mourinho admitted it has been a difficult season for the club but he is encouraged by the results that next season will be better (Spurs official).
Mourinho was speaking ahead of the impressive 3-0 victory in the final home game of the season against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City.
“There is no denying that we have faced some great challenges during what has been an unprecedented season for everyone,” he said.
“I am certainly looking forward to having some extended time to work with the players over the break as we aim to come back stronger next season.
“You can be assured we will do everything we can to improve on what we have learned this season as we aim to get this Club back to where it belongs in the Champions League and bring you all success and joy.”

It is expected Mourinho will push through summer signings in the key areas he feels he needs to improve the squad.
Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is said to be near the top of Mourinho’s summer shopping list as part of his plan to bolster his midfield options but must first raise funds by selling some of his current players (Telegraph).

It is encouraging to hear Mourinho speak so optimistically about the upcoming summer and season ahead. The past three results have been fantastic and his style of play – albeit frustrating at times – is certainly getting the results at the minute.
