Mourinho appears to call out Guardiola and Man City in latest message to Gareth Southgate

Jose Mourinho has sent yet another message to Gareth Southgate in his press conference today after the to week international period draws to a close.

Harry Kane, Harry Winks, and Eric Dier all featured heavily for England during the fixtures against the Republic of Ireland, Belgium, and Iceland.

Mourinho was vocal about his thoughts on the international window as a whole this week, hinting at his displeasure amidst the spread of COVID-19.

It has also been revealed that Harry Winks returned to Hotspur Way with a small injury problem from his time within the England camp.

Southgate spoke earlier in the week about coaches putting players under pressure to pull out of the dead-rubber game against Iceland on Wednesday.

Mourinho took the opportunity to tell Southgate that he should call these managers out publically, while also hinting that Man City’s Raheem Sterling withdrew from the England camp but will likely feature tomorrow against Spurs.

The Tottenham head coach went on to say that Eric Dier withdrew last month and ended up missing two matches, hinting that Sterling may have merely been protected for the big game in North London.

He said (Dan Kilpatrick): “Raheem is going to play tomorrow. Of course, we all know that Sterling is going to play tomorrow. When Eric Dier left NT injured in the previous month, he didn’t play two matches. And Raheem is going to play tomorrow. These are the little details that I think Gareth should explain.”
