Mourinho claims he doesn’t need new left-back as these three players can cover

Tottenham Hotspur are a little short on left-backs at the club at the moment after Ben Davies’ injury against West Ham United in Mourinho’s first match as manager.

This leaves Danny Rose as the only senior left-back still at the club, which is far from ideal heading into the jam-packed festive Premier League calendar.

Rose has already featured in two games in the past week, with Spurs welcoming Bournemouth to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again this weekend.

Perhaps this will give the England man a chance to rediscover his best form under a new manager in Mourinho.

Asked whether he would look to sign or needed to sign a new left-back in the upcoming window, Mourinho dismissed the idea, stating that he had enough cover.

The Special One believes that Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose, and even Serge Aurier can play at left-back for the Lilywhites if needed.

As reported earlier, Mourinho sees Sessegnon as an attacker for the time being.
