Mourinho comments on the prospect of a Pochettino visit at Hotspur Way

It has been around two months since Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board took the decision to sack Mauricio Pochettino after five and a half years at the club.

In that time, the Argentine had taken Spurs from the Europa League all the way to their first-ever Champions League Final.

He also finished in the top four for four years in a row, something the club are now struggling to achieve in his absence.

Under 24 hours after his sacking, Pochettino was replaced by Jose Mourinho, who now claims that the old Spurs gaffer is welcome back any time he wants to visit.

Mourinho was asked whether he had spoken to Pochettino yet, with the Argentine back in England for the launch of LaLigaTV this week.

The Special One claimed that he had not been in touch, but that Tottenham was Poch’s club, the doors are open, and of course, his son still plays at Spurs.

Mourinho said (Football London): “No, I’m too busy. He’s enjoying his period, he’s enjoying his country. It would be very, very easy for him to one day come here. His son is here with us. This is his club. The doors are open. Any time he wants to come and visit everyone it will be a wonderful opportunity.”
