Mourinho confirms figure is leaving Tottenham this summer – Talks about replacement

Tottenham Hotspur face Crystal Palace in their final match of the Premier League season today and it looks as if it will be the final game for one of Mourinho’s assistants too.

The Spurs head coach has now confirmed that tactical analyst, Ricardo Formosinho, is leaving the Lilywhites in the summer – as reported by Jonathan Veal.

Mourinho also claimed that he is set to appoint a young replacement coach who already has an existing relationship with Tottenham Hotspur, although he did not mention a name.

Ricardo Formosinho joined Tottenham as a tactical analyst in November of 2019 when Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm in North London.

The former midfielder was a part of Mourinho’s staff at FC Porto, before moving on to work as a coach in his own right.

Formosinho then joined up with Jose again during his time at Real Madrid, before moving to Kuala Lumpur as a head coach and joining Mourinho for a third time at Man United.
