Mourinho gives Eriksen transfer update that contradicts some latest reports

All the talk surrounding Christian Eriksen this season has been about the rumours away from the pitch, rather than his performances on it.

Eriksen has under six months left on his current Spurs contract, meaning that he could allow it to run down and leave on a free in the summer.

The Great Dane can also talk to non-English clubs about a pre-contract regarding such a move as early as this month, or Spurs may even be able to sell him on for a fee.

It has been reported this week that Inter Milan have now made a formal bid for the playmaker, which sits at £13m (Telegraph).

CalcioMercato report that Eriksen’s agent had dinner with the Inter Milan CEO for Sport this week too, as a move to the Italian club inches ever closer.

However, Jose Mourinho has now claimed that Inter Milan have not made any offer for Eriksen and the Great Dane will play this weekend against Watford.
