Wales have confirmed that Gareth Bale will not play any part in this evening’s friendly against USA, with the Welshman not even being named on the bench for the clash.
Jose Mourinho implored Wales to be careful in the way they manage the winger’s fitness during the international break (Sky Sports).
The winger made his first Premier League start since his return to North London at the Hawthorns on Sunday and completed almost eighty minutes.
He was pictured with an ice pack on his ankle after coming off but Wales interim coach Robert Page later confirmed that the 31-year-old was fully fit (BBC).
Mourinho will be pleased to see that the Welsh management have decided not to risk the winger for the friendly this evening.
In fact, even Joe Rodon and Ben Davies, who started all three of Wales’ games last month, have only been named on the bench for the clash at the Liberty Stadium.
