Mourinho makes confident claim that no team is better than Spurs in this key area

Jose Mourinho has claimed that he does not see any other team that plays more exciting, attractive, and attacking football than Tottenham Hotspur at the moment.

The Spurs head coach also added that the difference between the team last season when he took charge and the team now is impossible to measure.

The stats would certainly seem to back up Mourinho’s claims, as Tottenham have been playing some scintillating football so far this season.

Six goals away to Man United in a 6-1 win, five goals against Southampton after going behind, seven goals in the Europa League against Maccabi Haifa.

Even last weekend when Spurs collapsed to a 3-3 draw against West Ham, they attacking football on show in the first half was incredible.

However, with just eight points to show for their efforts so far this season, Mourinho will be keen on strengthening the defence if he hopes to challenge for major honours this year.

He told Sky Sports when asked how he assesses his progress in one year at Spurs: “So easy. You see the way we play and the way we played last season in terms of quality, it is impossible to compare because it is a huge distance. I don’t see a team playing more exciting, attractive, attacking football like we do. The day we are capable not to make defensive mistakes, we can be really a very good team.”
