Mourinho names two academy graduates he wants to be Spurs ‘players for many years’

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of promising young talents within their youth ranks, with a few beginning to break their way into the first-team.

Japhet Tanganga has certainly been the Spurs breakout star and the surprise package this season, as the 20-year-old has slotted into the defence like a seasoned professional.

Tanganga has played right-back, centre-back, and left-back, all with the same level of maturity, assurance, and class.

Meanwhile, Oliver Skipp has found it far harder to find game time under Jose Mourinho, with plenty of big names to compete with in central midfield.

Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, Gedson Fernandes, and Eric Dier to name just a few.

However, Mourinho has now insisted that both Tanganga and Skipp are great kids and both have earned a place in the first-team dressing room.

He also added that he plans to make them Spurs players for many years to come.

Mourinho said (Charlie Eccleshare):
