Mourinho opens up on Kane and Alderweireld chances of facing Arsenal after injuries

Tottenham Hotspur may face LASK in the Europa League tomorrow night but many fans will already be looking forward to the North London Derby at the weekend.

Spurs welcome Arsenal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, while also being able to welcome back around 2,000 fans into the ground.

However, news emerged today that Harry Kane had picked up an injury ahead of the derby clash against Arsenal, as had Sergio Reguilon and Carlos Vinicius (Dan Kilpatrick).

Jose Mourinho revealed that the trio would still have a chance of facing the Gunners at the weekend, while also providing a positive update on Toby Alderweireld.

The Spurs head coach claimed that Alderweireld would not take part against LASK on Thursday, but could play in the NLD come the weekend.

On Harry Kane, Mourinho refused to name the nature of the injury, but added that he thinks the striker will still play against Arsenal.

Mourinho said this on Alderweireld (Dan Kilpatrick): “He has a chance, not for tomorrow, he’s not even an option. But he’s doing very well and there’s a chance that he plays. But Joe played against Chelsea and it was not an easy first match.”

He added this on Kane (Dan Kilpatrick): “I’m not going to tell you the nature of his injury. I think he has a good chance [vs Arsenal]. I think he’s going to play. That’s my feeling.”
