Mourinho provides Spurs squad COVID-19 test update after Brentford boss tests positive

Jose Mourinho has now revealed that the entire Tottenham squad have tested negative for COVID-19 ahead of their match against Marine FC this weekend.

The Spurs head coach was asked for a test update by the press after Thomas Frank, the Brentford boss, tested positive today.

Tottenham played Brentford in mid-week, defeating them in a Carabao Cup semi-final, with Frank in attendance on the touchline. Fortunately, it appears that the Brentford boss did not pass it on to any Spurs players.

Spurs have already had one Premier League fixture against Fulham cancelled due to COVID-19 positive results this season. Aston Villa are also struggling with an outbreak under a week before they face Tottenham in the league.

However, Jonathan Veal has reported that Mourinho cleared his entire playing staff during his pre-match press conference this afternoon, a welcome boost for the Lilywhites.

Spurs take on Marine on Merseyside this weekend as they look to book their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
