Tottenham Hotspur have a big week ahead of them across the Europa League and Premier League as they face LASK and Arsenal respectively.
A win or draw against LASK will see the Lilywhites qualify for the knockout stages of the European competition, while a win over Arsenal would retain their spot at the summit of the Premier League table.
Gareth Bale played no part in the recent win over Man City or draw away to Chelsea in the league, with Jose Mourinho opting for the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura instead.
However, the Welshman has been handed plenty of football on Thursday evenings, most recently against Ludogorets last week.
Jose Mourinho has now claimed that Bale simply needs to get his confidence back, playing consecutive matches without picking up injuries.
He also added that the winger needs no tactical or technical changes, just regular game time under his belt in North London.
He said (Football London): “Gareth? The only problem with Gareth is to get into the dynamic and the confidence of playing consecutive matches without any bad feeling or negative feeling, without any remembrance of the recent past when the condition was not the best and the fears were there. I think it’s more about that but he’s playing regularly and he has a chance of a physical evolution. He doesn’t need a tactical or technical one. He just needs to get his confidence back of playing three matches in a week. It’s more about that.”
