Mourinho releases statement on his training session with Tottenham player

Pictures emerged on social media yesterday showing Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho, conducting a training session with record signing, Tanguy Ndombele.

This comes despite the fact that the UK is supposed to be on a nationwide lockdown, with social distancing rules put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

While people are permitted one piece of exercise per day, this is only supposed to be conducted with members of the same household.

The Guardian reported yesterday that Mourinho was adamant that he, Ndombele, and his staff adhered to the two-metre social distancing rules.

However, Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon were also seen out jogging side-by-side on the same day, far closer than the two-metre guideline.

The Guardian reported that a Spurs source had informed them that the players had been reminded of their social distancing duties.
