Mourinho reveals he believes this youngster will sign new contract with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur boss, Jose Mourinho, certainly seems impressed with youngster Japhet Tanganga, in a time when the Spurs defence is really struggling for clean sheets.

Tanganga was welcomed on the pre-season tour of Asia under Mauricio Pochettino at the start of the year and impressed against the likes of Juventus.

The 20-year-old then made his full debut against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup, but hasn’t been seen since that match.

Mourinho has been naming the youngster on his Premier League benches of late though, with Tanganga being an unused substitute for the last three matches.

He was also a part of the matchday squad that took on Bayern Munich in the Champions League last month.

Tanganga has just six months left on his Spurs contract and could not talk to non-English clubs about a free summer transfer.

However, Mourinho claims that the club is always interested in new contracts for young players and that he thinks Tanganga will sign a new deal.
