Mourinho reveals he has spoken to Daniel Levy about the future of these star players

Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a settled core of star players under Mauricio Pochettino during his five years in charge, including the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, and Christian Eriksen.

However, this trio could now be coming to the very end of their Tottenham careers, with all three currently set to leave the club on free transfers come the end of the season.

Unless new contracts are agreed soon, the players will be allowed to talk to non-English clubs in January about possible pre-contract agreements.

So far, Mourinho has started Toby Alderweireld in all three of his games in charge of the club. The Belgian assisted one and set up another against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Jan Vertonghen also started the match and impressed, while Eriksen came on after just 28 minutes against Olympiacos to help flip the game on its head.

Mourinho has now revealed that all three are great professionals, understand the club, and even added that he had talked to Daniel Levy about them since joining.
