Mourinho reveals one player who won’t play against Bayern – Asked if Parrott will

Such is the quality of Tottenham’s squad and the performance today that Harry Kane’s two sublime long-range finishes went relatively unspoken of post-match.

Kane belted the opener in from around 30 yards in the first five minutes before adding a second later in the match from the edge of the area.

However, they were overshadowed by the 5-0 win and Heung Min Son’s sensational solo goal in the first half.

Kane has been in superb form this season for Spurs and England, playing the vast majority of games for both teams.

However, Jose Mourinho has now revealed that the striker will be given a rest against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this month.

This comes after Spurs already qualified in second, booking a place in the knockouts. With nothing riding on the game, it will give Mourinho a chance to rest key players and test fringe stars.

Asked whether Parrott will play against Bayern, he said (Football London): “I don’t know. I can say that Harry Kane will not play but who is going to play I need to think.”
