Mourinho reveals what Spurs will do tomorrow after conceding from set-piece again

Journalist, Jonathan Veal, revealed a rather damning Tottenham statistic last night after the Lilywhites dropped another two points in the Premier League against Wolves.

Spurs have now gone four games without a win in the competition, picking up just two points from a possible 12 in that time.

Veal claimed that out of the 15 goals that Spurs have conceded this season, 10 of them have come from set-pieces – including free-kicks, corners and penalties. Four came from the spot and six from lateral free-kicks or corners.

One week ago against Liverpool, Spurs defended for their lives only to throw away a vital point thanks to poor marking from a late corner.

This time around, Spurs conceded to Wolves in the 86th minute, with Saiss stealing a march on the front post to flick home past Hugo Lloris.

In his post-match press conference, Mourinho revealed that Tottenham would hold a team meeting about the defensive shortcomings from set-pieces, implying that they have held similar inquests in the near past.

He said (Football London): “Look it’s disappointing. Tomorrow we will have a similar meeting of meetings we’ve had.”
