Mourinho reveals whether Eric Dier will play against Burnley

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Eric Dier will play against Burnley tomorrow in the Premier League despite his actions after the Norwich City match on Wednesday.

The Spurs defender could be seen leaping into west lower stand at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and climbing up several rows of seats to reach his younger brother, Patrick.

The Express claim that Dier believed his brother to be in danger after the player had received abuse from some fans.

Dier decided that he had no choice but to take to the stands in order to safely remove his sibling, which he eventually did.

However, the FA are now investigating the incident and will ask both Tottenham and Dier for comments on the matter before making a decision (Express).

The player himself is said to be expecting a fine or a ban, but nothing has been issued yet.

As such, Mourinho has claimed that Dier will play against Burnley tomorrow citing the fact that he played well in the FA Cup.
