Mourinho reveals whether Tanguy Ndombele will start against Lokomotiv Plovdiv

Tottenham Hotspur face an away trip to Bulgarian side, Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League qualifiers tomorrow night.

Spurs face three possible qualifiers this season just to make it into the group stages of the second-tier European competition.

The Lilywhites got off to a poor start in the Premier League at the weekend, losing their opening game at home to Everton.

However, record signing, Tanguy Ndombele, was able to get some minutes on the pitch in the second half. Previous to this, Ndombele had only managed 45 minutes in pre-season after missing out on the early matches through injury.

As such, Mourinho has now revealed in his pre-match press conference that Ndombele is not fit enough to start the match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv this week (Jonathan Veal).

However, the Spurs head coach did concede that the Frenchman’s process in North London is now a ‘positive’ one.

Ndombele endured a rather torrid first season at Tottenham last time out as he struggled with both form and injury, finding it especially difficult to earn minutes under Mourinho.
