Mourinho reveals why Lo Celso and Ndombele have not featured heavily under him

Tottenham Hotspur were finally busy in the summer transfer window this year after going nearly 18-months without signing a single new player.

Jack Clarke was the club’s first new face of the summer, before being loaned back to Leeds United for the season.

Tanguy Ndombele then came in for a club-record fee from Lyon, before Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon both joined on deadline day.

While Ndombele was a near-permanent fixture in Pochettino’s Tottenham side this season, he has only had one cameo under Mourinho so far.

Meanwhile, Lo Celso looks to have moved back to the drawing board after working his way into Poch’s plans as he now sets out to impress the new manager.

Mourinho was asked today about the players and what they need to do under him, with the Special One claiming that they were both very good buys in the summer (Alasdair Gold).

He added that they do not need to earn his trust or anything like that, but merely continue to adapt to the Premier League.
