Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp is set to feature more regularly for the first team when the Premier League campaign resumes.
Football Insider claim that the academy graduate made an impression on Jose Mourinho before the campaign was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 19-year-old is now to be rewarded for his efforts on the training field by playing a major role in the remainder of the run in.
Skipp has only started one Premier League match this season and has made just four top flight appearances in total during the current campaign (transfermarkt).
The England Under-21 international is highly regarded at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is thought of as one of the most exciting homegrown talents, alongside Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott.
Skipp is said to have begun talks with the club over a new contract with his current deal expiring in 2021 and the North London outfit are keen to tie the young midfielder down to a new one as soon as possible.
It is refreshing to see the prospect of Skipp being given more game time, he has not been given the opportunity to prove what he can do week in, week out.
