Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho, has now suggested to journalists that Gareth Bale will make his second Spurs debut within the next week.
Spurs managed to re-sign their former superstar this summer on loan from Real Madrid, even years after the Welshman left North London for Spain.
Bale has been pictured in good spirits this week as the Tottenham squad geared up for a London derby against West Ham United.
The winger will have good memories against the Hammers, against whom he scored one of his most famous Lilywhite goals, picking himself up off the ground to slam one into the top corner.
Mourinho has reportedly now hinted that Bale is working hard at Hotspur Way, while indicating that he has been unable to train in this way for a long time.
Jonathan Veal reported that Mourinho suggested Bale would play against West Ham, while Alasdair Gold added that, if not, he will play on Thursday in the Europa League.
Jose Mourinho suggests Gareth Bale will probably play on Sunday: “What I can tell you is that he is working very well, he is working in the way he was not able to do for a long time. He is in pretty good condition.” #THFC #COYS
