Mourinho’s foul-mouth reaction to receiving bad news on Amazon documentary

The Sun have revealed that Jose Mourinho is seen giving a panicked response in one of the upcoming episodes of ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’ when he learns that Harry Kane’s hamstring injury will sideline the striker for three months.

Kane suffered a ruptured left hamstring away at St Mary’s on New Year’s Day, with the injury sidelining the striker until the restart of the campaign in June.

The striker’s return to fitness was crucial in helping Spurs to secure a sixth-place finish after he rediscovered his form in front of goal towards the end of the season.

However, the England captain’s injury was a major blow for the Lilywhites when it happened with fears at the time that he could miss a significant chunk of what was left of the season.

When Mourinho learns the extent of his star striker’s injury, he is reportedly caught on camera telling his coaching staff, “We’re f***ed!”

In the next three episodes of the Amazon documentary, which are due for release tomorrow the Spurs boss receives the bad news from Tottenham’s head medic Geoff Scott, after Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat against the Saints.

He then reportedly rushes over to inform one of his coaching staff, in Portuguese: “Three months minimum….minimum. Three months if he doesn’t have surgery.

“Three months out. We’re f***ed.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Mourinho’s reaction not only shows how important Kane is to this Tottenham side but also why he was reportedly desperate to sign a striker in January. I am fascinated to see how the conversations between Levy and Mourinho play out in the next three episodes regarding our transfer targets.

In hindsight, the club will probably be glad that they did not panic and end up buying someone like Vedat Muriqi or Krzysztof Piatek in January, given that the season was suspended not too long later after. It looks like the North Londoners have a lot more options to choose from this summer than they did in January.
