Moussa Sissoko explains how the break will benefit Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are in a poor run of form at the moment, after only managing to draw one and having lost three of their last four Premier League games.

These results have meant that Spurs are out of the title race, and have been left with a massive battle on their hands to finish the campaign with Champions League football for next season.

The fixtures don’t get any easier as Spurs have to travel to Anfield next to take on a Liverpool side who are attempting to chase down Manchester City in the race for the title.

However, Spurs have had an extended break since their last game on the 9th of April since they weren’t involved in the FA Cup. Mauricio Pochettino has used to opportunity to do some tactical work with the squad at a warm-weather training camp in Barcelona.

Most of the Tottenham squad have now travelled to meet up with their respective nations for the upcoming international games this weekend.

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has said that the break has allowed the players to refresh their minds, and will thus help them finish the season strongly.

Speaking to the club’s official Twitter page, Sissoko said, “We spent a good time all together (last week), trying to refresh the mind.

“Now most of the players are with their national teams and hopefully we can come back and be ready to finish the season well.”
