Moussa Sissoko reveals that he misses £16.9m star Tottenham sold

Moussa Sissoko has revealed on his Instagram story that he misses his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Christian Eriksen.

The French midfielder departed Spurs over the summer after a five-year spell with the club, and made the short journey to Hertfordshire to join Premier League newcomers Watford.

Sissoko, 31, was responding to questions from fans on his social media feed, and was quizzed about whether he misses the now Inter Milan playmaker Eriksen by one of his followers.

He then issued his response and said: “Yes, because it’s [he’s] a nice person.”

Eriksen left Spurs for Inter during January last year, after the Italian giants managed to secure his services for just £16.9million.

He struggled to make much of an impact during the opening couple of months of his time in Italy, but eventually became a key player in Antonio Conte’s side, which romped to the Serie A title.

But Eriksen’s career still has a looming question mark above it and is still being scrutinised by medical officials, after he collapsed with a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 fixture against Finland.

Eriksen’s career at Spurs was such a strong one, despite ending on strange terms and the side could do with a player of his creativity right now. He seemed like an easy-going teammate that could get along with anyone, so no doubt he would have been an asset to have in the Spurs dressing room.
