Moussa Sissoko slams Spurs doubters in passionate interview

Tottenham Hotspur midfield beast Moussa Sissoko is currently out injured, but that hasn’t stopped him laying into his club’s many doubters.

Spurs became the first ever Premier League side not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window this season.

They have also chosen not to invest in the squad again so far this January, perhaps in the wake of their new stadium payments.

Despite a lack of funding, Pochettino has led the team to their best ever start to a Premier League season, as well as Champions League knock outs, a Carabao Cup semi final, and the FA Cup fourth round.

Spurs have consistently been up and around the top teams in the Premier League for a number of years now, and you just feel that they are one of two big signings away from challenging for a title.

Moussa Sissoko has now hit out at Spurs’ doubters, claiming his side is strong enough.

He said (Star Sport): “I do not agree with those people who say our squad is not good enough, not strong enough. We believe in our squad.

“We are all together and we know we are capable of doing a lot of things. Now we have to show it on the pitch and we have a good opportunity to do that against Chelsea.

“It won’t be easy. It will be a good battle. But those players who come in, they are good enough. They have proved it before. All of the squad can start games, can play. They are all good enough.

“We have an amazing squad. I am very happy to play with these kinds of players. The reality is on the pitch. But whoever is on the pitch will give everything and show their quality.

“How close are we to winning something? In the Premier League every season is crazy and you have to fight until the end. There are a lot of good teams.

“But we need to stay focused on our job and give our best and then we will see where we are. Hopefully we will win something this season because the team deserves it.”
