Multiple reports claim potential Kane for Spurs boost ahead of final

The Daily Mail have revealed that Ryan Mason is hopeful of involving Harry Kane in his plans for the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday after the striker did some outdoor training on Thursday.

Tottenham are sweating on Kane’s fitness for the Wembley showdown after the striker rolled his ankle in the 2-2 draw against Everton last week.

The 27-year-old watched on from the stands on Wednesday as his teammates came from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 in Mason’s first game in charge.

The interim Spurs boss refused to reveal too much regarding Kane’s fitness in his pre-match press conference on Friday, claiming that the striker has not trained with the group and that he will have a better idea on Saturday.

The Daily Mail have now revealed that while the England captain did not join his teammates for training, he completed an outdoor session at the club’s Enfield HQ on Thursday and moved a step closer to returning in time for the final.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT claim that Kane has already completed two outdoor sessions.

Spurs Web Opinion

Kane is the sort of player who will make himself available for the final even if he is around 70 or 80 per cent. I doubt Mason would leave the 27-year-old on the bench if he says he is fit to play.
