Foot Mercato and Sky Italia have both named Tottenham Hotspur as one of the leading contenders to snap up Paulo Dybala in the summer.
Juventus CEO Maurizio Arrivabene confirmed this week that Dybala will not be renewing his contract with the Serie A club and will leave when his current deal runs out in the summer (TuttoMercatoWeb).
Gazzetta dello Sport subsequently suggested that Tottenham could find it difficult to sign the Argentine if they do not qualify for the Champions League.
However, multiple sources have now indicated that the North Londoners very much remain in the race for the 28-year-old.
Sky Italia have claimed that although Inter are keen on landing Dybala, the forward’s salary might be a major obstacle to their hopes of landing the player, with the Nerazzurri having to clear up their wage bill by selling some players.
The report names Atletico Madrid and Barcelona as contenders for the Juve star’s signature and adds that he would be open to a move to the Premier League amidst Spurs’ interest.
Foot Mercato also named Tottenham along with AC Milan and Atletico Madrid as the clubs at the front of the queue to snap up Dybala.
However, the report adds that Paris Saint-Germain could also make a move for forward, with the Argentine international already said to have asked his entourage about a potential move to Paris.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs will likely face competition from across the continent for Dybala in the summer as an opportunity to sign a player of his quality on a free transfer does not present itself too often. However, I do wonder if Kulusevski’s impressive displays might cause Conte to rethink a potential move for the Juve star.
