Sport Witness have relayed multiple reports emanating from Italy on Monday, which name Tottenham and Atletico Madrid as the leading contenders for Lautaro Martinez’s signature this summer.
It has been alleged by some publications over recent weeks that Antonio Conte is keen on reuniting with Martinez at Spurs (Inter Live).
TuttoSport reported earlier this month that Inter Milan are open to cashing in on the Argentine in order to raise funds to pursue their transfer targets this summer.
Sport Witness have now revealed the latest that Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport have reported regarding Martinez on Monday (25/04/22).
Corriere state that Atletico are keen on snapping up the 24-year-old and add that Tottenham ‘or another English club will knock on the door’ this summer.
The report states that Martinez is valued by Inter at €70m-€80m (£58.7m- £67.1m).
Meanwhile, according to Tuttosport’s latest update, Inter’s valuation for the forward stands at exactly €70m (£58.7m).

Tuttosport are much more convinced of Tottenham’s interest in Martinez, stating that the Inter star is ‘especially’ liked by the North London club.

At this point, it does seem like the race for Martinez’s signature is between Atletico and Spurs. However, I would expect other Premier League clubs to enter the race over the coming weeks and months. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man Utd could all be in the market for a striker this summer.
