‘My connections’ – Pundit claims Spurs star is not as the media portray him

Danny Mills has claimed that Richarlison is not as the media often portray him and is far from a moody and disruptive player to have around the training camp.

Richarlison made a £60m switch from Everton to Tottenham in the summer (Sky Sports) and has impressed on the pitch, even if he has not set the world alight in front of goal for the Lilywhites.

The striker is currently leading the line for Brazil at the Qatar World Cup and netted a brace in their opening 2-0 win over Serbia, including a sensational overhead kick.

Mills claims that his connections within Everton have told him that Richarlison is far from the personality often portrayed in the British media.

In fact, EPSN Brazil recently revealed that Richarlison donates 10% of his salary to help fund a home for cancer patients in Brazil.

Mills said (Stadium Astro): “I know a little bit at Everton and my connections there. He’s not like that. The media portray him as being moody, grumpy and a bit disruptive at times.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

How a player is on the pitch and what they are like as a person are often very different things. Richarlison is firey when playing football, but seems pretty chilled out and down to Earth away from the sport. I think he knows how lucky he has been to get to where he is.
