‘My dream’ – Spurs-linked Celtic star reveals his desired PL destination

Celtic winger, Liel Abada has revealed that his ‘biggest dream’ would be to secure a move to Liverpool and play in the Premier League.

The Israel international joined the Hoops from Maccabi Petah Tikva in a deal worth £3.5 million over the summer.

He joins a list of Israeli footballers who made the transition to Celtic in recent years, including Efe Ambrose, Rami Gershon, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Ismaila Soro, Berem Kayal and Nir Bitton.

Tottenham had reportedly kept tabs on 20-year-old Abada before Celtic firmed up their interest, although he eventually made the move to Scotland.

He has hit the ground running at Parkhead and currently has three goals and three assists to his name for Ange Postecoglou’s side in the top flight.

Despite being in Scotland for the best part of three months, Abada has already set his sights on much bigger prospects and cited the Premier League – specifically Liverpool – as a move to target in the future.

He told Sport5: “My dream was and remains to play in England, in one of the teams in the Premier League. The biggest dream is Liverpool, but I have to keep working hard here to prove myself.”
