“My eyes have seen the glory” – Tottenham legend reacts to Spurs progressing to the CL quarter final

Tottenham overcame Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate to book a place in the last 8 of the Champions League, for the first time since 2011.

In the process, Tottenham became the first team to beat Dortmund at the Wesfalenstadion this season, and continued their winning streak against the German side which now stretches to four games.

Pochettino opted to start with a back 5 once again as Ben Davies and Serge Aurier came into the side. Tottenham’s central defenders produced a stunning display to ensure that the home side didn’t open the scoring after they threw caution to the wind right from the start of the game.

On the back of the performance, Tottenham fans are now dreaming of going all the way in the competition. Tottenham legend Graham Roberts singled out Spurs’ backline for praise after the game, and said he had his eyes set on glory.

Roberts certainly knows what it takes to achieve European glory with Spurs having won the UEFA Cup in 1984. Here’s what the former Spurs defender tweeted after the game:
