Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino must soon think about who they want to include in their 25-man Premier League squad for the new season.
Last year, the squad was confirmed in early September after all transfer windows had shut, although Tottenham chose not to buy or sell any important first-team players (Football London).
This time around, Spurs will have a new-look squad to contend with, after both exits and new signings across the summer.
Poch must name a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players, with the rest of the 25 being made up of homegrown stars.
I am predicting that Spurs will get deals for Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso over the line, although the former is under-21 so would not fall into the main 25-man list.
I also believe that Danny Rose will remain and Fernando Llorente will re-sign.
My predicted 25-man squad is as follows (homegrown *):
Hugo Lloris
Paulo Gazzaniga
Kyle Walker-Peters*
Serge Aurier
Ben Davies*
Danny Rose*
Toby Alderweireld
Jan Vertonghen
Davinson Sanchez
Eric Dier
Harry Winks*
Moussa Sissoko
Tanguy Ndombele
Victor Wanyama
Dele Alli*
Christian Eriksen
Erik Lamela
Giovani Lo Celso
Lucas Moura
Heung Min Son
Harry Kane*
Anthony Georgiou
Luke Amos* (Will likely be named as Spurs are short on homegrown stars and he could potentially be recalled at some point)
Fernando Llorente
Spurs will remain one man short.
Notable under-21 players –
Juan Foyth
Ryan Sessegnon
Troy Parrott
Oliver Skipp
Cameron Carter-Vickers
Japhet Tanganga
George Marsh
Harvey White
Jack Roles
Alfie Whiteman
