‘My type of player’ – Graham Roberts praises Spurs effort after West Ham win

Graham Roberts has sung the praises of a number of Tottenham Hotspur players following the 3-1 win against West Ham United.

The former defender described the result as being just the tonic prior to the international break with Spurs just three points behind north London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table, albeit with Antonio Conte’s side having played a game more.

Roberts described Cristian Romero who was a rock at the back once again as his type of player with the Argentine dealing with the physicality of the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Michail Antonio.

The 62-year-old also reserved praise for the double January arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski who have adapted brilliantly to life in the Tottenham starting eleven.

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son once again showed the potency of their partnership in the final third.

It was a good all-around performance from Tottenham with Son having a much-needed eye-catching display having been below par in recent matches by his own standards.

It was a huge three points for the home side to go into the international break on a high and look to secure a top four finish.
