Napoli striker who holidayed with four Spurs stars tests positive for COVID-19

News has emerged that Napoli striker Andrea Petagna, who holidayed together with several Spurs stars during the summer break, has tested positive for COVID-19 (beIN Sports).

It has been reported that the striker, who scored 28 Serie A goals in the past two seasons, is asymptomatic and is currently self-isolating.

The Italian international was pictured playing football with Eric Dier, Giovani Lo Celso, Davinson Sanchez and Erik Lamela in Italy during the summer break.

All four players are now back in London as Tottenham began their pre-season training last Monday.

Tottenham are already without Harry Kane for the first two weeks of pre-season training as the striker being asked to quarantine himself for 14 days on his return to the UK after his holiday in the Bahamas (Daily Mail).

I do not think this is a big issue as all of our players get tested multiple times a week according to the Premier League’s and FA’s protocol. So if there was a positive test, I imagine we would know by now.
